Lama Kunga Dorje joins us at Marpa House after Kyabje Chime Rinpoche’s Parinirvana.

As we continue to focus on meditation practice following Rinpoche’s Parinirvana, we are very pleased to inform you that Lama Kunga will be returning to Marpa House to join us in the prayers. We will continue to practice the Mikyö Dorje Four Session Guru Yoga and Vajrasattva under his guidance.

Attendance is by donation only. You are very welcome to join by Zoom or in person. Please book your place using the button links at the bottom of this post.

  • Tea and coffee will be available at the House. You can bring a vegetarian packed lunch if you wish.
  • These sessions will take place in the shrine room and are likely to be busy, so please book in advance.
  • The Zoom session is on a different link than has been used for the regular prayers and practices – please book to receive the dedicated link for Lama Kunga’s visit.
  • There is no parking at Marpa House due to the road closure of Rectory Lane. However, parking is available at Ashdon Village School.
  • Car sharing is advised if possible. Local taxi firms are listed here. We expect that access to the House via the lane should be possible for dropping people off, but please allow some extra time for your journey.

Lama Kunga Dorje

Lama Kunga Dorje is an experienced retreat master who was appointed by Ven. Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche in 1998 as the resident lama at the Halscheid retreat centre, Karma Tekchen Yi Ong Ling, in Germany, where he has led four three-year retreats. He provides his students with instruction relevant to their practice and is available to offer individual guidance to clarify any questions.

Fluent in English, Lama Kunga’s deep familiarity with Western mentality and his generous, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach are loved by all who meet him.
