50th Anniversary Photo Montage

To celebrate our first 50 years, we created a video of memories for our celebration in April 2025, allowing us to remember the many teachers who have shared their wisdom at the house, the extraordinary events, and the life-enhancing experiences.

The magical energy of the house and the beautiful meditative peace of the garden are also part of what makes the house so special to so many, as the video shows.

The sangha and the friendships formed create emotional and spiritual bonds that last many lifetimes, and we remember and thank everyone who has been part of Kham Tibetan/Marpa House.

None of this would’ve been possible without our precious teacher, Kyabje Chime Rinpoche, who has provided us and future generations with a sacred place of meditation and contemplation and built a foundation for the authentic transmission of Tibetan Buddhism for many years to come. He is our ever-present guiding light. 

Highlights of the 50th Anniversary Celebration

We had an incredible weekend in April as we finally celebrated 50 years of Marpa House. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success, especially to our very special friends: Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, Tulku Pasang Rinpoche, Khenpo Gyurme Tsultrim, Traleg Khandro, and Ani Pema Chödrön, who shared their beautiful birthday messages.

We are also grateful to all our fantastic speakers and performers. However, the biggest thank you goes to Rinpoche for his inspiration and care, and for providing us with this very special and sacred place to practice and share meaningful moments. Although Rinpoche was not physically present, his energy filled the space, and the love, joy, and harmony among everyone were palpable.

It was truly extraordinary to share this experience together. The video captures some highlights of a wonderful day on 20th April 2025.
