We are utterly delighted, and incredibly honoured, that Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche has very kindly accepted our invitation to give teachings and empowerments at Marpa House.
PROGRAMME
Saturday 25th October
9:30 am – 11:30 am
Teachings from ‘The Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones’ Part One
The ‘Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones’ is Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s commentary on Patrul Rinpoche’s teachings on path, meditation and view. This commentary is a beautiful, clear, complete guide, and we are delighted that Rinpoche will be sharing this profound teaching with us.
2:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Green Tara initiation
Tara is the female Buddha of compassion and enlightened activity. This initiation is for the practice we perform daily in Marpa House.
Chenrezik initiation
Chenrezik (Avalokitesvara) is the peaceful Buddha of compassion, and this initiation is for the practice of four-armed Chenrezik that we perform daily in Marpa House.
Dorje Sempa (Vajrasattva) initiation
Vajrasattva is said to be sovereign of all the buddha families and mandalas, and of special importance in Dzogchen and Mahamudra practice. His practice and hundred-syllable mantra have the ability to purify samaya, remedy all harmful acts and obscurations, and lead one to complete enlightenment.
The programme is very full. Timings may vary, and we cannot guarantee start/finish times. Please arrive promptly and be patient with timings – thank you for your understanding.
This is an incredible opportunity to receive transmissions from such a realised and authentic master. Rabjam Rinpoche is a highly revered international teacher. He has an especially close connection to Marpa House and is a much-loved, warm, generous presence for us all.
We hope that you can join us for this wonderful occasion.
Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, born in 1967, is the grandson and spiritual heir of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Since his grandfather’s passing in 1991, Rabjam Rinpoche has taken the responsibility of transmitting Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s teachings and is bringing his vision for the preservation of Tibetan Buddhist teaching and culture to fruition.
At the age of three, Rabjam Rinpoche began taking teachings from his revered grandfather and today holds this unbroken lineage. He was raised by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and attended almost every teaching, drupchen and empowerment that he gave during twenty-five years. He travelled throughout the world with Khyentse Rinpoche and first visited the West in 1976.
